S.F.-Based SimpleStar to Acquire Palo Alto-Based OurPictures

San Francisco -- Simple Star, a San Francisco-based provider of
consumer imaging products and services to such companies as Comcast,
Walgreens and Snapfish, said that it has signed a deal to acquire
OurPictures, a Palo Alto-based provider of photo print and share services.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Simple Star said that the
acquisition will give it a more complete consumer photo offering,
allowing users of its PhotoShow software to print photos at more than
25,000 locations nationwide. OurPictures currently provides photo
software print and share services to Ritz Camera Centers, a deal similar to
Simple Star's partnership that allows PhotoShow users to order prints
from Walgreens. Simple Star plans to retain OurPictures' entire team.
