San Mateo, Calif. -- Rearden Commerce, a San Mateo-based developer of
an e-commerce platform for employee purchasing, said that it has raised
$25 million in a new round of funding led by Oak Investment Partners.
Foundation Capital and other previous investors also participated in the
round, which increased the company's total backing to $67 million.
Rearden's initial e-commerce offering is a platform that allows buyers of
business services such as travel and package shipping to interact with
suppliers in an effort to control expenses. "We look forward to
aggressively expanding into new service areas," said Patrick Grady, the
founder and CEO of Rearden.
