Santa Clara, Calif. -- Expanding its slate of tools for developers, Santa
Clara-based BEA Systems, a maker of infrastructure software, said that it
has acquired Cupertino-based M7 for an undisclosed sum. M7 develops
tools for the development of sophisticated web applications based on
open source and frameworks such as Struts, Hibernate, Java Server Faces
and JavaServer Pages. With the acquisition, BEA plans to merge its
existing developer tools capabilities with M7’s. .
