Sunnyvale-Based SonicWall Acquires Lasso Logic and enKoo

Sunnyvale, Calif. -- SonicWall, a Sunnyvale-based developer of security, mobility
and productivity software, said that it has acquired San Francisco-based data
backup company Lasso Logic and San Jose-based remote access technology firm
enKoo for an undisclosed sum. Lasso makes appliances that allow businesses to
continuously back-up important data. EnKoo's products, meanwhile, allow remote
employees to access email, files and applications located on their PC or company
server. SonicWall said that the acquisitions will allow it to address growing
demand for remote access, backup technologies that don't require tape and the
ability to recover data in the event of a disaster.
