Mountain View, Calif. -- Fabric7 Systems, a Mountain View-based
maker of corporate servers, said that it has raised $13.4 million in a new
round of venture capital funding. The company said that participants
included a "major silicon vendor," new investor Sanmina-SCI and
previous investors New Enterprise Associates, Goldman Sachs, Selby
Ventures, Foundation Capital and Vanguard Ventures. Fabric7, which at
the time of its launch boasted $32 million in private funding, said that it
will use the new capital to build its sales and support organization.
