Mountain View, Calif. -- Hammerhead Systems, a Mountain View-based maker of data switches used to carriers to deliver Ethernet and existing legacy services, said on Tuesday that it has landed $30 million in its third round of venture capital funding, led by new investor Silver Creek Ventures. Another new investor, Apex Venture Partners, also participated, as did all of the company's previous investors. The company has now raised a total of $80 million since its inception, and plans to use the latest round to expand sales, marketing and customer support in North America and internationally.
