Santa Clara, Calif. -- Clearwell Systems, a Santa Clara-based developer of software designed to find, organize and analyze information contained in emails, said that it has launched with an investment from Sequoia Capital. The amount of funding was not disclosed. The company said that its platform, meant to replace the time-consuming act of manually reviewing hundreds of emails, can help businesses in areas such as regulatory compliance, legal discovery and customer management. Clearwell claims that its technology can significantly lessen the time companies spend analyzing email, as well as reduce operational costs.
