San Jose, Calif. - Cisco Systems, the San Jose-based networking equipment maker, said in an SEC filing that it has indirectly purchased a 9.7% stake in Shanda Interactive Entertainment, an operator of online games in China, for about $104 millionm the Associated Press reported. Shanda operates online games including "The Legend of Mir" and "Ragnarok Online." The company also partnered with Intel on a PC-based entertainment system called the EZ Pod, which features access to video games, a web browser, and music downloads from providers including EMI Music.
