Pleasanton, Calif. -- Aesthera, a Pleasanton-based developer of light-based aesthetic treatment systems, said on Wednesday that it has secured $11 million in its third round of venture funding, led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Previous investors MedVenture Associates and Adams Street Partners also participated. Aesthera's technology is used in hair removal, as well as the treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions. The company said that its method is pain-free and up to seven times faster than traditional treatment methods.
