Redwood Shores, Calif. -- Oracle, the Redwood Shores-based based business software giant, said that it has acquired Hotsip, a Sweden-based maker communications infrastructure software, for an undisclosed sum. Hotsip is a developer of telecommunications infrastructure software and applications for IP telephony, presence, messaging and conferencing on new converged networks. To date, the company has raised more than $18 million in venture capital from the likes of 3i Group, Arganor Wireless Ventures, GO Capital and Ledstiernan.
