Palo Alto, Calif. -- Symphony Technology Group, a Palo Alto-based holding company for software businesses, said that it has acquired ImmediateFX (IFX), a Connecticut-based provider of marketing performance measurement software. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 1999 by James Friedman, IFX offers technology that allows major corporations to track, analyze and measure the return on investment of their marketing activities including advertising, consumer and trade promotions. The company will operate as a subsidiary of Symphony. Friedman will join Symphony as its chief analytics officer.
