San Jose, Calif. -- Sony Computer Entertainment's "Shadow of the Colossus" took five top honors, including "Best Game," at the 6th annual Game Developers Choice Awards, an event produced by the International Game Developers Association as part of the 2006 Game Developers Conference in San Jose, Calif. Developed by a team led by Kenji Kaido, Yasuhide Kobayashi and Fumito Ueda, the mythical action-adventure game also received recognition from fellow game developers for Character Design, Game Design, Visual Arts and Innovation. The Lifetime Achievement award was bestowed on Richard "Lord British" Garriott, founder of "Ultima" developer Origin Systems, who later went on to executive produce titles including "Lineage" and "City of Heroes".
