Fremont, Calif. -- Synnex, a Fremont-based provider of IT supply chain services, said on Tuesday that it will acquire the Telpar distribution unit of Maryland-based Peak Technologies for $5 million. Telpar distributes automatic identification and data collection systems, as well as point-of-sale products, to resellers, integrators, independent software vendors and other channel organizations. John Paget, the president of North America and COO for Synnex, said that the acquisition "will immediately expand our resources and capabilities," as well as give the company access to Telpar's current customers.
