San Mateo, Calif. -- Cape Clear Software, a Massachusetts-based provider of development tools for open-source business software, with offices in San Mateo, said that it has raised $15 million in its fourth round of venture capital, led by Menlo Park-based InterWest Partners. Other investors in the deal include Accel Partners, ACT Venture Capital and Greylock Partners. Founded in 1999, Cape Clear employs about 100 people. Its list of around 250 customers includes Accenture, Booz Allen Hamilton, and General Dynamics. The company said it will use part of the new investment proceeds to open new offices in the U.S., Europe and the Asia Pacific region, in addition to maintaining the ongoing development of its existing locations in Waltham, Atlanta, San Mateo, Dublin and London.
