San Jose, Calif. -- eBay, the San Jose-based online auction giant, said on Monday that it has acquired Tradera.com, an online auction marketplace in Sweden, for about $48 million. Launched in 1999, Tradera.com has more than 750,000 listings at any given time and offers a venue where buyers and sellers can trade across an array of categories. eBay, which launched its own site in Sweden one year ago, said that it plans to expand its activities in the country.
