Foster City, Calif. -- Imperva, a Foster City-based developer of data security technology for data centers, said on Wednesday that it has raised $17 million in its third round of funding, led by San Mateo-based Greylock Partners. Previous investors Accel Partners, U.S. Venture Partners and Venrock Associates also participated in the round, which increased the company's total backing to $33.7 million. The company said that ti will use the proceeds to expand its direct and channel sales infrastructure on a global basis.
