Menlo Park, Calif. -- Krugle, a Menlo Park-based search engine for developers, said on Wednesday that it has secured $6.1 million in its second round of funding, led by Rustic Canyon Partners. First round investors Emergence Capital Partners, First Round Capital and Omidyar Network also participated. Krugle is the developer of a specialized search engine designed to give professional programmers access to source code and technical information they need to build applications. The company also provides a workspace where programmers can work independently or collaboratively by sharing search results and annotations with peers. Steve Larsen, the CEO of Krugle, said that the new capital will allow the company to accelerate its development efforts.
