Mountain View, Calif. -- Encover, a Mountain View-based developer of software designed to help manufacturers maximize revenue from the sale of service contracts and maintenance agreements, said on Wednesday that it has raised $8 million in its third round of venture capital funding. Chicago-based Baird Venture Partners (BVP) led the round, with participation from previous investors Sigma Partners and DCM -- Doll Capital Management. Encover, which more than doubled its revenue in 2005, said that the round will help it to continue ramping its business. Clients include Xerox, Kodak, Juniper Networks and Enterasys Networks.
