San Francisco -- Delivery Agent, a San Francisco-based maker of interactive commerce software for the entertainment industry, said on Wednesday that it has raised $11 million in its second round of funding, increasing its total backing to $16.5 million. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round, which also included participation from originally investors Worldview Technology Partners and Cardinal Venture Capital. The company raised $5.5 million in its first round in March 2005. Delivery Agent's platform allows viewers to search for and purchase products they have just seen on screen. Several major entertainment companies and consumer brands -- including ABC Entertainment, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, NBC Universal and Twentieth Century Fox -- already have adopted the software with the hopes of creating a new revenue stream.
