New York -- Internet ad revenue hit a new record of $3.9 billion during the first quarter, a 38% jump from the same quarter a year ago, according to a new report from the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers. Revenue also was up 6% from the previous quarter, spurring even more optimism among industry officials. "The steady growth of online advertising is a clear indication that marketers continue to believe in the opportunities and effectiveness that this medium delivers in reaching and engaging their consumers," said Greg Stuart, the CEO of the IAB.
