San Jose, Calif. -- John Chambers, the CEO of San Jose-based network equipment giant Cisco Systems, will take on the added role of chairman in November, the company said on Thursday. Chambers will succeed John Morgridge, who announced last year that he wouldn't stand for re-election to the board.
