Arlington, Va. -- More than three-quarters of people who purchased technology for their new homes, such as home theater and monitored security systems, said that they were highly satisfied with their purchases, according to a new survey conducted in May by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Owners of home theater systems had the highest satisfaction rate at 89%. Among other technologies, more than 60% of those surveyed said that they are interested in purchasing a monitored security system and 58% said that they are interested in buying an energy management system. Overwhelmingly, those surveyed want a professional to install the systems.
