Emeryville-Based Planitax Lands $5 Million in Third Round

Emeryville, Calif. -- Planitax, an Emeryville-based provider of software services to corporate tax departments, said on Wednesday that it has raised $5 million in its third round of funding. Mobius Venture Capital led the round, which also included participation from fellow previous investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Access Venture Partners.The company said that it plans to use the new capital to accelerate its growth and extend its flagship product line, which targets a range of tax processes such as document management, entity management and audit management.
