Menlo Park-Based AutoTradeCenter to Acquire Onlane Group

Menlo Park, Calif. -- AutoTradeCenter (ATC), an Internet-based provider of automotive remarketing services, said on Monday that it has signed a deal to acquire Toronto-based rival Onlane Group for an undisclosed sum. The companies said that the deal will create the industry's largest online auction company for automotive dealers to purchase and sell wholesale vehicles. The combined company will be known as ATC-Onlane, with Roger Butterwick, the current CEO of ATC, remaining CEO of the combined company, which will have more than 200 employees and headquarters in Menlo Park.
