Mountain View, Calif. -- Broncus Technologies, a Mountain View-based developer of devices to help treat people with emphysema, said on Wednesday that it has landed $29.5 million in its sixth round of venture capital. Participants included Abingworth, Biomedical Sciences Investment Fund, Bio-Star, HBM BioCapital, HBM BioVentures, Japan Asia Investment Co (JAIC), Menlo Ventures, Pac-Link, Rockport Ventures, Saratoga Ventures and Sightline Ventures. The company said that it will use the funds to complete clinical studies and launch market development activities.
