Sunnyvale, Calif. -- Evans Analytical Group (EAG), a Sunnyvale-based provider of services that identify the atomic and physical structure of materials, said on Thursday that it has acquired Santa Clara-based Applied Microanalysis Labs, an independent analytical lab focused on solving materials problems for the semiconductor, data storage and biomaterial industries. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Mike Edgell, EAG's executive vice president of operations, said that the deal will allow his company to offer improved technical capabilities and insights to customers in support of both production control and materials development activities.
