San Francisco -- Ecast, a San Francisco-based maker of Internet-connected digital jukeboxes for bars and restaurants, said that it has raised $20 million in a new round of venture capital financing. Focus Ventures led the investment round, with previous investors Mobius Venture Capital, Crosslink Capital, DCM and El Dorado Ventures also participating. Founded in 1999, Ecast operates a network of more than 8,000 Internet-connected digital jukeboxes. The company will use the funds to expand its sales channel, target new markets, increase research and development and supplement its sales and marketing efforts.
