San Jose, Calif. -- Cisco Systems, the San Jose-based networking equipment giant, said ion Tuesday that it will invest up to $275 million over the next five years in Turkey. As part of the plan, Cisco plans to develop a technology innovation center, establish an institute to teach skills for opening and running small businesses and boost its overall headcount in the country from 80 to 400. Cisco first established operations in Turkey in 1996 and currently maintains offices in Istanbul and Ankara.
