San Jose-Based Validity Sensors Raises $20 Million in New Funding

San Jose, Calif. -- Validity Sensors, a San Jose-based biometric company specializing in durable fingerprint sensors, said on Tuesday that it has raised $20 million in a new round of funding, led by TeleSoft Partners. The round also included a substantial investment from Qualcomm Ventures, as well as additional participation from VentureTech Alliance and several private investors. Validity's durable fingerprint sensors allow users to swipe their finger over a durable plastic surface, rather than type in usernames and passwords.
