Mountain View, Calif. -- Intuit, the Mountain View-based maker of Quicken and TurboTax software, said on Thursday that it will pay $1.35 billion in cash to acquire Calabasas-based Digital Insight, a provider of online banking services. With the acquisition, Intuit said that it will be able to combine work flows in its financial management tools with online banking capability. The company also will increase its customer base to more than 5,000 financial institutions, nearly 25 million consumers and nearly 7 million small businesses. Following the closing of the acquisition, Digital Insight will operate as a new division of Intuit from its existing facilities in California and Georgia.
