San Francisco -- Common Sense Media, a San Francisco-based organization focused on improving the impact of the media on kids and families, said on Wednesday that Omidyar Network has committed to investing $4.25 million in the organization over the next three years. The new capital will support general operating expenses for Common Sense, as it moves toward a self-sustaining business model. Under the model, the organization earns income through the distribution of its entertainment reviews, as well as its user and community generated content.
