Palo Alto, Calif. -- Mobixell, a Massachusetts-based maker of mobile multimedia software, said on Thursday that it will acquire Palo Alto-based Adamind, a supplier of media adaptation software, for $5.5 million. Mobixell said that it plans to merge the two companies' products and technologies, as well as hire the majority of Adamind's 's employees. "The combined customer installed base is impressive, with over 150 mobile operator and content provider deployments worldwide," said Shailendra Jain, the CEO of Adamind.
