San Mateo, Calif. -- Sling Media, a San Mateo-based developer of technology that allows users to access their home TV channels from any Internet-connected device, has been sued for patent infringement by the inventor of a wireless speaker system, CNET News.com reported. Stuart Meshon owns a patent for technology that transmits audio signals from a home audio source to a remote speaker through a wireless telephone network. Meshon said that he first notified Sling Media of the company's possible infringement in a letter dated March 4, 2005. "We are supremely confident in our position that the suit is totally without merit," Jason Krikorian, co-founder and senior vice president of business development for Sling Media, told News.com.
