Pleasanton-Based Verticals onDemand Raises First Round of Funding

Pleasanton, Calif. -- Verticals onDemand, a Pleasanton-based provider of customer relationship management (CRM) software for specific industry segments, said on Monday that it has raised an undisclosed amount in its first round of funding from private investors. The company, which was founded in January by software industry veterans from Oracle, Siebel Systems, PeopleSoft, and salesforce.com, is initially focusing on the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
