San Jose's LGC Wireless To Be Acquired for $169 Million
San Jose, Calif. -- LGC Wireless, a privately held, San Jose-based provider of wireless coverage and capacity products, has signed an agreement to be acquired by ADC, a Minneapolis-based telecommunications firm, for $169 million in cash. ADC said the acquisition "represents a central part of ADC's All IP Radio Access Network (IP RAN) strategy," which was announced earlier this year. LGC Wireless had sales of $83 million in the last 12 months, compared to sales of $43 million in the year ended December 2006. The company has about 240 employees.
