San Mateo, Calif. -- MixerCast, the San Mateo-based developer of an online media-sharing service, has received $4.25 million of a planned $5.6 million second round of funding, PEHub.com reported. Intel Capital and previous investor ComVentures participated in the round. MixerCast's service allows users to add images, audio and video to web-based slide shows, then update the shows through RSS feeds. Users also can share in revenue generated when content featured in their shows is purchased through an attached widget. The company previously raised $2.6 million in December 2005.
