Palo Alto, Calif. -- Atempo, a Palo Alto-based developer of data protection and file archiving software, said on Tuesday that it has acquired Connecticut-based Lighthouse Global Technologies, a developer of email archiving software. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Atempo said that it plans to integrate the two companies' technologies. Neal Ater, the CEO of Atempo, called the acquisition an "important step" in meeting the growing data protection and digital archiving needs of its medium and large-company clients.
