Sunnyvale, Calif. -- VirtualLogix, a Sunnyvale-based developer of virtualization technology for connected devices, said that it has received an unspecified equity investment from Motorola Ventures, the investment arm of consumer electronics giant Motorola. "Our investment in VirtualLogix will help accelerate the delivery of their technology to next-generation communications devices and infrastructure equipment," said Reese Schroeder, the managing director of Motorola Ventures. The deal comes five months after VirtualLogix also landed an unspecified equity investment from Texas Instruments (TI) as part of a larger collaboration between the two companies. Other current investors include Atlas Venture, Cisco Systems, DFJ Esprit, Index Ventures and Intel Capital.
