Burlingame, Calif. -- ANTs software, a Burlingame-based developer of database management systems, said on Monday that it will acquire Inventa Technologies, a New Jersey-based provider of application and database managed services. Under the deal, expected to close by May 30, ANTs will pay $3 million in cash, issue a $2 million promissory note and issue 20 million shares of its stock. Inventa will become a subsidiary of ANTs, retaining its name. ANTs said that the acquisition will give it an experienced professional services team to complement its engineering team.
