Los Gatos, Calif. -- iWatt, a Los Gatos-based developer of semiconductors and power subsystems used in computers, communications and consumer electronic equipment, said on Tuesday that it has raised $12.4 million in its fifth round of funding, led by an unnamed investor. Previous investors VantagePoint Venture Partners, Sigma Partners and Horizon Ventures, as well as several private investors, also participated. The company said that it will use the proceeds as working capital. iWatt's ultra-efficient digital control technology has been used in AC-DC power supplies such as cell phone chargers.
