Mountain View, Calif. -- Become.com, the Mountain View-based developer of a comparison shopping site, said on Thursday that it has raised $8 million in its fourth round of funding from the European Founder's Fund. The investment comes just four months after the company also landed $17.5 million from TBG Growth. Become, which now has raised a total of $37.2 million, and has been profitable since late last year, said that it will use th4e new capital to expand its service to the European market. Become.com searches more than 25 million products from 5,000 merchants. The company's search engine provides users with product reviews and guides, helping them find and buy products from brand name retailers.
