San Mateo, Calif. -- CafePress, the San Mateo-Based developer of a service that allows people to create and sell user-generated, customized merchandise, said that it has acquired Imagekind, a Seattle-based site that sells user-generated framed art. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2006, Imagekind offers framed art images from more than 50,000 established and emerging artists from all over the world. The companies called the deal a "perfect fit," since each provides customers with the opportunity to create, buy and sell their own unique merchandise.
