California Again Leads Nation with Most Firms on Inc. 500 List

Redwood City, Calif. -- Agistix, a Redwood City-based developer of web-based software designed to help companies manage logistics, is the highest-ranked local company on the newly released 2008 Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing companies in America. The five-year-old company, which has just 35 employees, saw three-year revenue growth of 5,215%, ranking it 22nd on the list overall, as well as No. 2 among software companies. Once again, California tops the list with the most companies of any state, 78, down three from last year. Other local tech firms high on the list include Palo Alto-based SolutionSet (No. 23, 5,169% growth) and Los Gatos-based StrataLight Communications (No. 24, 5,126%).
