San Francisco -- Real Girls Media (RGM), a San Francisco-based online publisher of content targeting young women, said that it has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Iowa-based Meredith Corp., as part of a larger deal between the two companies. Under the agreement, RGM also will combine its inventory and sales forces with those of Meredith, whose network of sites now will count 15 million monthly visitors. Meredith combines national brands like Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies' Home Journal and American Baby with local television brands in fast-growing markets. Founded in 2006, Real Girls Media has developed a network of sites including DivineCaroline.com and other branded sites focused on women.
