Pleasanton, Calif. -- Bivio Networks, a Pleasanton-based developer of networking systems key to network security and control, said on Tuesday that it has landed $15.8 million in a new round of funding, led by Silver Creek Ventures. New investors ITOCHU, ITOCHU Techno-Solutions and Cross Technology Partners also joined previous investors InterWest Partners, Storm Ventures, Venrock Associates and Goldman Sachs in the round. Bivio said that it will use the proceeds to accelerate global sales, expansion of operations and product development. The company supplies networking systems for deep packet inspection (DPI)-enabled applications and services.
