S.F.-Based AirBedandBreakfast.com Launches Inauguration Housing Guide
San Francisco -- AirBedandBreakfast.com, a San Francisco-based online marketplace for booking rooms with locals instead of hotels, said on Tuesday that it has launched its Inauguration Housing Guide, designed to assist the more than 1 million people expected to visit Washington, DC in January for the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama. The site lets travelers browse photos and owner profiles, and book a room directly online. More than 200 Washington residents have listed their available spaces so far. There is no charge for people to list, and all monetary transactions are handled through the site, which keeps 3% of the rental amount.
