Sunnyvale, Calif. -- Trimble, a Sunnyvale-based wireless and location tracking technology company, said on Thursday that it has acquired the assets of Iowa-based Rawson Control Systems, a maker of hydraulic and electronic controls for the agriculture equipment industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Rawson's products, which include variable rate planter drives and variable rate fertilizer controllers, work in conjunction with Trimble's displays, which monitors and controls such things as seed, fertilizer and crop protection.
