Emeryville, Calif. -- Ravenflow, an Emeryville-based developer of tools designed to help companies streamline the process of developing new software, said on Tuesday that it has raised $6 million in a new round of funding that the company will use, in part, to open new offices on the East Coast. Previous investors Alloy Ventures, Palomar Ventures and the Roda Group participated in the round, which will help the company launch offices in Virginia and North Carolina, as well as support the launch of its online store. Founded in 2000, Ravenflow makes software that helps the business side of companies plainly communicate their specific requirements to IT departments. The company also raised $5 million in a round that closed in Feb. 2008.
