Sausalito, Calif. - Adgregate Markets, a Sausalito-based developer of transactional advertising technology, announced on Thursday that it has acquired San Francisco-based Gydget, a provider of brand-oriented widget advertising services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Adgregate, which to date has raised about $2 million in venture capital, said that Gydget will compliment its own ShopAds network, which lets people purchase items by clicking on banner ads. The deal will allow the company to distribute ShopAds through Gydget's 200,000 unique widget installations. "With Gydget, ShopAds bridge the gap between brand advertising and direct response marketing," said Henry Wong, the CEO of Adgregate Markets.
