San Francisco -- Military.com, a San Francisco-based military and veteran online membership organization and unit of Monster Worldwide, said that it has acquired CinCHouse.com, an online social network for military wives and women in uniform. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Military.com said that the acquisition will expand its reach to the military spouse community. CinCHouse.com will continue under the leadership of founder and Navy wife Meredith Leyva, who will join Military.com as the senior director of women and family initiatives. Leyva founded the site, which is an acronym for "Commander in Chief of the House," in 1999 when she was a marketing executive in Washington, DC. The site now claims approximately 200,000 visits and 3 million page views a month.
